SHEC is a Charitable Trust. The organization aims to provide shelter, access to justice and psychosocial support to survivors of gender based violence. The main targets of shelter are women, children and the physically challenged while community awareness and education targets the whole community.

Currently, Nairobi has only one shelter for battered women thus SHEC would go a long way in providing such needed service to survivors of violence.
